New Website

 Mental Health Centre Penetanguishene launches a new website.

Welcome to the Mental Health Centre Penetanguishene's (MHCP) new website.  Developed over recent months the new website uses our new domain name www.mhcp.on.ca . 

The new improved website is designed to reflect the recent change in governance.  MHCP has operated as a psychiatric hospital since 1904 and on December 15, 2008 was divested from the Province of Ontario to a public hospital corportation.  The MHCP is sponsored by the Catholic Health Corporation of Ontario, which is a health care sponsoring agency of the Catholic Church.

The divestment necessitated the removal of all Ontario Government logos and the introduction of a new look for the new corporation.  Development on this site will continue as the new corporation branding process has yet to begin. 

Our website is designed to be a resource to the community, making information more readily available and communications easier.  The new site has been revamped to provide easier navigation, more interesting features, and to better portray the quality of care patients receive at MHCP. 

Among the features found on our new website:

• An extensive listing of programs and services offered by the hospital, including a description of location, visiting hours and contact information;
• A fully searchable employment section where prospective employees can search, view and apply for new jobs;
• Up-to-date hospital news and publications;
• Meet our new Board of Directors, and up-to-date Board News;
• Updates on the development of the Forensic Rebuild project with Infrastructure Ontario;
• Client/Family Support site;
• MHCP Research site;
• A calendar of Continuing Education and Continuing Medical Education activities for healthcare professionals in the hospital and in the community.

We invite the public to explore our new website.  We're very excited about the new site because it allows us to readily share information with the community about our programs and services.
